Great article, Troy. When holding the flag, I hadn’t considered whether or not I was in their line of sight. Is it more common to hold the flag rather than setting it on the green?

      Thanks Nick,

The first thing to remember is if you are the closest to the hole to grab the flag. Next, pay attention to where your playing partners balls are located. Then move away from behind the hole so they are not in your line of sight. You may have to move a couple of times so as not to impede them. Hopefully after the first playing holes their putt they will take the flag off you and you can focus on your upcoming putt.

What do you mean when you say ‘setting it on the green’?
