What you must know about the Ping S56 irons
About 5 months ago I began my search for a new set of golf irons.
After playing Mizuno blades for about 7 years I was looking for a golf iron with a little more forgiveness.
When I first saw the Ping S56 irons I must admit I was a little bit sceptical.
After about 2 hours in the golf store testing area I walked away convinced a made the right decision on the Ping S56 golf irons.
It focuses on how to get a great golf impact position and improves your ball striking leading to longer and straighter shots.
How good a golfer are you?
It’s important to note these irons are designed for the better golfer or preferably up to no higher than a 15 handicap.
They have a blade type look and size about them which makes them more difficult to hit for a higher handicapper.
Being a lower handicapper myself I have never had any problems with them, but it’s important for you to know.
Forget the past and look to the future
Ping traditionally have made irons that had this squarer type shape to them that only appealed to a certain group of golfers.
Fortunately now they have come up with a lot of new technology and the Ping S56 golf irons and others have a much more pleasing look to them.
Will they go further than your current irons?
Personally I haven’t noticed any increase in distance after switching to the Ping S56 irons.
Depending on what current model you are using you are most likely not to see any difference.
However, this will depend on each individual golfer and their skill level.
Longer hitters may not see any difference but shorter hitters might.
These golf irons weren’t as pleasing on the eye as I would normal like. They have this unusual chunk missing out of the hosel that looks like a manufacturing error.
However, after I got over the initial visual adjustment I have been thoroughly impressed.
Are the Ping S56 irons hard to hit?
The extra bit of forgiveness in the face makes it easy to shape the golf ball in either direction.
They are weighted just a fraction lighter than most of the other models I tried.
Because of this I found them much easier to swing and control and my own tempo.
Overall I would highly recommend the Ping S56 irons for any golfer out there up to a handicap of about 15.
If you really enjoy shaping the golf ball and are looking for the latest in golf iron technology then these golf irons are for you.
Remember, getting a great golf iron like the Ping S56 is only half the battle. Work on creating your own Perfect Golf Swing and your golf will improve.
I use and recommend the Perfect Impact System to my readers and has thousands of successful users worldwide.
