Putt like a pro every time
Every athlete has his ritual before playing a game. In fact, the 14-time major winner Tiger Woods has a pre-shot routine, according to his former swing coach, Hank Haney.
Hank revealed how Woods would take his pre-shot rituals like stepping up to the ball, re-aligning himself to his intermediate target and then pulls the trigger.
When it comes to golf, aside from the innate skill, you need to Putt Like a Pro.
Watch these 5 videos to know more.
1. Lag putt from Jim McLean
Jim, who is a member of 6 Halls of Fame, has taught PGA and LPGA tour winners namely: Cristie Kerr, Tom Kite, Alexis Thompson and Keegan Bradley.
In this video, he will show you a great way to work on distance control when it comes to long distance putting.
Lag putting is a drill that has been used for so many years but not as popular as the usual putting green drills.
Jim also says that this drill will teach you how to control your hands and feet.
This drill is good for a 40-foot putt.
Ultimately, in lag putting, you have to concentrate on the target, which is the hole and not the ball. Makes sense, right?
2. Tees2Greens Golf Instruction featuring Stuart Smith
Stuart Smith and his 20-year coaching experience believes that putting like a pro is individualistic.
While everyone has their own style and grips, the only skill that would set you apart from others is consistency.
As Stuart explains in the video, to successfully putt like a pro, one must be consistent.
He also explains the importance of standing still and minimizing using too much hand movements.
3. Spoke putting drill by Garry Rippy
In this video, Garry Rippy of Barton Creek Golf Academy in Texas shares his expertise in putting like a pro.
He calls it the “spoke” putting drill.
This drill will help you build the habit of making more successful short putts.
Short putts are any putts that are 2,3,4 or 5 feet away from the hole.
This drill is important because, even though the ball is just a foot away from the hole, without a putting drill, you will have a tendency to miss the putt.

4. Aiming the right way by Jerry Tucker
Jerry is a PGA Master Professional who has invented a game test app that lets you evaluate your short game.
Jerry’s philosophy is all about the proper aiming, which for him, is the most difficult drill.
He shows in this video a little trick he uses to aim a putt.
However, when he took it out, he said that the lining of the grass has something to do with aiming a successful putt.

5. Correct distance & feel by Dave Stockton, Golf Digest
Dave has won 5 major PGA and Champion tour tournaments during his 70-year golfing experience.
Hence, his putting instincts are pretty honed.
He says that putting is all about how you feel the breaks of the green.
You cannot hit it too hard if the green rolls fast.
Where to now
Just so you know, a well-maintained golf-grass is amazingly done by using a hydroponic system to grow the grass.
The grass should be free from any algae nor sludge.
Therefore, a reliable sludge removal system is vital in maintaining a cleaner and greener grass.
