If we eat the wrong foods we’re not going to be feeling energetic enough to make a good golf swing.

This lack of energy also affects our brain functions and the ability to make smart decisions on the golf course.

Apples have long been regarded as one of the best sources of energy. Apples are full of fiber and antioxidants that are vital for overall health. Most importantly for golfers, apples are rich in energy-dense carbohydrates in the form of sugars.

These natural sugars provide fuel to your cells which require very little digestion before your body absorbs them.

The result is the nutrients from the apple repair your tissues fast making them a must for the serious golfer.

Bananas are my number source of energy on the golf course. Bananas are a rich source of vitamin B-6 and potassium and contain three natural sugars.

All this combined gives you an instant and prolonged boost of energy making them ideal for golfers.

Do yourself a favour and grab a couple of bananas as golf snacks for your next round of golf.

Peanut Butter

Peanut butter is chock full of protein and fiber and keeps you full longer so your stomach won’t growl at you on the golf course.

Hence the name, peanut butter is full of peanuts which are full of high rich vitamins and minerals.

Water

In the Summertime, I consume anywhere from one to one and a half litres of water during a round of golf.

Waters benefits are obvious and need to be consumed in small amounts every 15 minutes.

Water is a much better fluid source than a sugary sports energy drink.

It’s a must-have on the golf snack list.
