Close the clubface

To draw the golf ball right to left the first thing you must do is turn the clubface in slightly to help promote the right to left spin on the golf ball.

  • Make sure you shut the clubface first a fraction (turn head in closer to the ball) and then take your normal grip


Aim body to the right of the target

To really draw the golf ball from right to left you must first aim to the right of the target. After all, you don’t want to aim straight at that big tree in front of you!

  • Aim far enough to the right to avoid the trouble. This includes your upper body and your lower body.

  • Your rear foot should be placed about 3 - 5 inches lower than your front foot to help promote a more inside to outside swing path.

It’s important to understand that once you have the correct set up when trying to learn how to draw the golf ball you don’t have to change the golf swing.

  • Don’t grip the club any different

  • Don’t swing the swing any different

  • Let the golf club follow the path of the upper and lower body and the clubhead will do the rest.
